Who can forget the great comedy, “Some Like It Hot.” It’s 1929 and two down and out musicians happen to witness the St. Valentine’s Day Massacre. They’re desperate to get out of Chicago before the mob gets them too. So, they dress up as women and join an all girl band heading for Florida. Unforgettable hilarity ensues as one of the musicians falls for Sugar, the bands lead singer; while the other is trying to avoid a rich suitor who won’t take “no” for an answer. All the while, the mob is HOT on their trail.
Take this story and add a Julie Styne and Bob Merrill score and this 1973 Tony nominated musical brings fun for the whole family.
