“Funniest farce ever written”

Irving, TX 75062

Slamming doors, breaking windows, double entendres and a thousand laughs.  That’s what you’ll find in this classic farce about an inept acting troupe touring in an awful play.  This timeless hit offers the audience a look at the backstage goings-on, as well as the ridiculous show out front.  And it still holds up as: “Funniest farce ever written”

Crew

JILL STEPHENS (Director) is directing her eleventh show at ICT. Previous productions include THE UNEXPECTED GUEST, MOVE OVER MRS. MARKHAM, WAIT UNTIL DARK, TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR, STEEL MAGNOLIAS, LEND ME A TENOR, NOISES OFF, A MY NAME IS ALICE and THE MIRACLE WORKER. In addition she directed 10 productions for the ICT Children’s Theatre. During the day she is the part time administrator for ICT. Jill could not devote the amount of time she does to the theater if it were not for the support of her equally involved spouse Rob Stephens.

PAUL FIORELLA (Scenic Designer) has always appreciated the hilarious mishaps which can take place behind-the-scenes of live theatre unbeknownst to the viewing audience. Having worked over twenty years in various backstage roles, he feels that this play epitomizes the possibility that any production can turn into a secret three-ring circus. This play is for all who have worked diligently in the dark shadows to make what is viewed onstage seem effortless. To you, the audience, we share this opportunity for you to see into our rarely seen and often unknown world of organized chaos.

SAM NANCE (Lighting Designer) has designed the lighting for many shows at ICT, including NINE, DRACULA, SHAKESPEARE FOR THE MODERN MAN: LESSON 1 - MACBETH, and PROOF. He is the resident lighting designer for Pegasus Theatre where he has lit their innovative “living black and white” shows for a number of years as well as their more colorful presentations. Other companies that have seen his lighting include the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, Dallas Theater Center, and the Lois Pope Theater in Florida. Shows include WOODY GUTHRIE’S AMERICAN SONG, THE LION IN WINTER, CATHOLIC SCHOOL GIRLS, and A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM. Most recenty he designed the lighting for LIGHT IN THE PIAZZA at Theatre Three

TORY PADDEN (Costume Designer) has a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Texas at Austin. NOISES OFF is such a fun show and entertaining show and she is pleased to be part of such a strong design team. Recent productions that she designed were A LIE OF THE MIND for Northlake College, and PIRATES OF PENZANCE for ICT.

JO ANNE HULL (Set Dressing & Properties Designer) frequently designs and gathers props and set dressing for ICT. She enjoys the challenge of those “just right and hard to find” items that allow her to indulge and excuse her attraction to thrift shops, garage sales and antique stores. Jo Anne is an ICT Board Member.

ROBIN STEPHENS (Sound Designer & Master Carpenter) has worked on many ICT productions over the past 20 years. He was Lighting and Sound Designer for the ICT Childrens’ Theatre productions, and has designed the lighting for a number of ICT Mainstage shows. Currently on the ICT Board, Rob has previously served as ICT’s President, and served on the Irving Arts Board.

TOM ORTIZ (Stage Manager) is happy to be working with this production and its very talented cast and design team. He continues to work with the technical side of ICT productions and thanks his family and friends for their continued support.

EVELYN G. HALL (Co-Producer) is very pleased to be once again working with Jill, Rob, and Tom and the rest of this very talented cast and crew.  Evelyn enjoys producing, stage managing, working crew, and serving on the ICT board of directors. Some of the other shows that she has produced are TEN LITTLE INDIANS, THE UNEXPECTED GUEST, DAMN YANKEES, and NO WAY TO TREAT A LADY.

PHIL NIXON (Co-Producer) joined the ICT Board of Directors last year and this is his second time wearing a “Co-Producers” hat. He co-produced, DRACULA, last year. Phil performed in ICT MainStage productions of TEN LITTLE INDIANS and THE UNEXPECTED GUEST. This past summer he directed and acted in the ICT Theatre On The Edge production of THE WINNING STREAK. Phil is currently directing Runway Theatre’s show MY THREE ANGELS, which opens Dec. 5th
