CATHY PARKS BARDIN (Laura) CATHY PARKS BARDIN (Laura) is thrilled to be back on stage at ICT after such a long absence. Most recently, she performed with Theatre on the Edge in LIES AND LEGENDS: THE MUSIC OF HARRY CHAPIN. Cathy has done many roles, but some of her favorites include Cinderella/INTO THE WOODS, Cathy Seldon/SINGING IN THE RAIN, Adelaide/GUYS AND DOLLS, Rosamund /THE ROBBER BRIDEGROOM (where she met her permanent leading man), and her ongoing role as Zoë’s mom.

CRAIG BOLEMAN (Julian Farrar) CRAIG BOLEMAN (Julian Farrar) is making his DFW debut with ICT after a ten year hiatus from the stage. Favorite roles in other regions include Rooster/ANNIE, Henrik/A LITTLE NIGHT MUSIC, Nicely-Nicely Johnson/GUYS & DOLLS, Scoop Rosenbaum/HEIDI CHRONICLES, Ray/LONE STAR, Paul Verrall/BORN YESTERDAY, Laertes/HAMLET and Dromio of Ephesus/ COMEDY OF ERRORS. Craig owns SoloShoe Communications, a marketing firm in Las Colinas.

LAURA C. CUTLER (Mrs. Warwick) LAURA C. CUTLER (Mrs. Warwick) is debuting with ICT. Other roles include Romaine Vole/WITNESS FOR THE PROSECUTION, Tessie Tura/GYPSY, Benny/UNEXPECTED GUEST, Lady Catherine/PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. Theaters include Dallas Children’s, Plano Repertory, and Garland Civic. Laura danced professionally in Europe and the U.S.A., with companies including the Berlin Ballet and Opera, Béjart Ballet, Hawaii Ballet Theatre, Dallas Ballet and The Dallas Opera.

DEBBIE HURLEY (Miss Bennett) DEBBIE HURLEY (Miss Bennett) was last seen as Emily Brent in ICT’s successful production of TEN LITTLE INDIANS.  You may also remember her as Mrs. Stuart-Dubonet in UNVARNISHED TRUTH, Elaine/ NIGHT WATCH, Susie/WAIT UNTIL DARK or Jessie Mae/TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL.  In her younger days she used to travel around doing the Dinner Theatre circuit from Virginia to Indiana.  Debbie has been known to help out with props, spot light, set building and concessions.  Her “normal” job is the Admin. Assistant to the Principal at The Highlands School here in Irving.

PHIL NIXON (Inspector Thomas) PHIL NIXON (Inspector Thomas) previously played Blore in ICT’s,TEN LITTLE INDIANS. Most recently he was Mr. Cladwell in Runway Theatre’s, URINETOWN. Phil has performed in many local theaters including: Dallas Children’s Theatre, Circle Theatre, Theatre Arlington and Fort Worth Theatre. Among his favorite roles: Henry I /LION IN WINTER, Daddy Warbucks/ ANNIE, and Joe Keller/ ALL MY SONS.

SCOTT NIXON (Michael Starkwedder) SCOTT NIXON (Michael Starkwedder) has appeared in a number of ICT MainSage productions such as Injun Joe/TOM SAWYER, Lt. Foster/DEATH: TAKE/1,  Jimmy Conlin/ANOTHER MURDER: ANOTHER SHOW! and as Orville Livingston/THE LILLIES OF THE FIELD.  He as appeared in other musicals such as THE THREEPENNY OPERA, SOUTH  PACIFIC, KISMET, THE MUSIC MAN, CAMELOT and CINDERELLA in the Metroplex and Southern California area.  Scott is pleased to finally be sharing the stage with his father Phil for the first time.

DAVE SCHMIDT (Henry Angell) DAVE SCHMIDT (Henry Angell) last performed for ICT MainStage in LAURA as Waldo Lydecker. ICT MainStage patrons may remember Dave as Sir Laurence Wargrave /TEN LITTLE INDIANS, Felix Unger/ THE ODD COUPLE, Dale Harding/ONE FLEW OVER THE CUCKOOS NEST, Curtis Appleby/NIGHT WATCH, Julian Goodman/COMMUNICATING DOORS, and R.F. Simpson/SINGIN’ IN THE RAIN. Dave has also directed for ICT MainStage productions of I’LL BE BACK BEFORE MIDNIGHT, THE UNVARNISHED TRUTH, NUNSENSE and most recently THE PIRATES OF PENZANCE. Following this production, Dave will be directing the next ICT MainStage production of PROOF.

JACK SHIELDS (Jan Warwick) JACK SHIELDS (Jan Warwick) Is very happy to be making his first appearance at ICT. He is a student at UT Arlington, where last semester he played the role of Barnaby in Thornton Wilder's THE MATCHMAKER. He is from Bossier City, Louisiana where he worked on roles that included Natwick/PVT. WARS, Linus/YOU'RE A GOOD MAN CHARLIE BROWN, and Marvin/CALIFORNIA SUITE.

DAVID SMITH (Sergeant Cadwallader) DAVID SMITH (Sergeant Cadwallader) is making his public theatrical debut. Prior to this production of THE UNEXPECTED GUEST, his performances have been limited to roles in church productions. He is very excited to be performing with ICT and would like to take this opportunity to thank his family for all their support and love.

JILL STEPHENS (Director) returns to directing at ICT MainStage after a six year hiatus during which she directed 10 shows for the ICT Children’s Theatre. Previous shows directed for ICT include MOVE OVER MRS. MARKHAM, WAIT UNTIL DARK, TRIP TO BOUNTIFUL, ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR, STEEL MAGNOLIAS, LEND ME A TENOR, NOISES OFF, A MY NAME IS ALICE and THE MIRACLE WORKER.

PAUL FIORELLA (Scenic Designer) is very excited to have collaborated with Jill as the director of this play. Murder mysteries are one of his favorite genres and Agatha Christie is among his favorites. Other plays by Christie that Paul has designed the sets include THE MOUSETRAP and TEN LITTLE INDIANS. Paul received his MFA in Theatre Design from Florida State University in 1988.

SUE HILL (Costume Designer) is thankful to be working with ICT again this year.  She has costumed many of the past ICT Children's Theater productions and PICNIC for ICT MainStage last year.  She also works with local high schools costuming for their theater departments and show choirs.  Her most recent projects included, JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING TECHNICOLOR DREAMCOAT at Haltom High School, SEUSSICAL THE MUSICAL at Birdville High School and THE YELLOW BOAT at Trinity High School.  She wishes to thank God for providing the opportunities and for her husband, Harvey for being so supportive and wonderful.

SAM NANCE (Lighting Designer) is designing his eighth show for ICT, where his most recent work was SHAKESPEARE FOR THE MODERN MAN.... He is the resident lighting designer for Pegasus Theatre where he has lit their innovative “living black and white” shows for a number of years as well as their more colorful presentations. Other companies that have seen his light, include the Shakespeare Festival of Dallas, Dallas Theater Center, and the Lois Pope Theater in Florida. Shows include WOODY GUTHRIES AMERICAN SONG, THE LION IN WINTER, CATHOLIC SCHOOL GIRLS, and A MIDSUMMER NIGHTS DREAM.

RICHARD FROHLICH (Sound Designer) has designed sound for many ICT productions including Ten Little Indians, Laura and The Oldest Living Graduate. He also designed sound for Echo Theatre, Theatre Three, Contemporary Theatre of Dallas, Uptown Players and Slappy's Puppet Playhouse.  In 2006 he won a column award for sound design of The Full Monty. In 2001 he formed the award-winning Texas Radio Theatre Company and has since written and produced over 60 modern audio plays.  He makes his home in Arlington, Texas with his wife Shannan and three children. 

LOIS BAIR (Stage Manager) has stage managed numerous shows for both ICT Mainstage and ICT Children’s Theater. Some of her on stage performances include Alice/A MY NAME IS ALICE, Eva Jackson/ABSURD PERSON SINGULAR, Tessie Tura/GYPSY, Maria/LEND ME A TENOR, Sereny Harper/THE ADVENTURES OF TOM SAWYER, and Mrs. Dorgan/LAURA.

JOANNE HULL (Properties/Set Dressing) has designed and gathered props for many ICT shows including Pirates of Penzance, Singing in the Rain and this season’s Dracula. Those “just right and hard to find” items are special challenges that allow her to indulge and excuse her attraction to thrift shops, garage sales and antique stores – especially those in the Texas Hill Country!

EVELYN G HALL (Co-Producer) is very happy to be co-producing for Jill on this great mystery.  They have worked together in various capacities on many of ICT’s shows over the past 13 years.  She will be Stage Managing our next production PROOF for her good friend Dave Schmidt. Evelyn serves on the ICT Board of Directors and many of its committees.

TOM ORTIZ (Co-Producer) continues to enjoy working with ICT to bring quality theater to our audiences and is very happy to support Jill Stephens and her fantastic cast on her return to MainStage directing.  Tom also gives a special thanks to his family and friends for their support to his endeavors with the ICT family.
